What happens when you talk on a cell phone?

When you talk on your mobile phone, your voice is transmitted from the antenna as radio frequency radiation (RFR) between 800 MHz and 1,990MHz - a range equal to the middle of microwave frequency. What is Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR)?
